Madla Walsh
Is an interdisciplinary storyteller driven by her desire to capture stories in a way that broadens people’s understanding of the world.
She is currently working on her Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism at Emerson College, where she will also achieve minors in photography and writing. During her time at school, she served as the executive producer of the Emerson Channel’s morning news show, Good Morning Emerson, and worked as both a staff photographer and the assistant photo editor of the Berkeley Beacon newspaper. She also contributed to multiple BFA, BA, and student productions with her skills as a behind-the-scenes photographer.
Madla is a Boston Press Photographers Association and National Press Photographer Association student member. She won the 2024 Outstanding News Program EVVY and was nominated for the 2024 Outstanding Photo Series EVVY Award.
