Snowport- The 2022 Seaport Holiday Market The Holiday Market at Snowport is filled with stands set up by local small businesses this holiday season. It opens every day at 11am rain or shine to the public from November 11th to December 31st. With over 120 different makers vending their goods the event draws a huge number of people each year. A Vendor smiles as he checks out a customer at the Natural Olivewood stand at the Seaport Holiday Market. Returning for another year in Seaport, Natural Olivewood sells handcrafted wooden kitchenware, made from Olive Trees. Natural Olivewood was founded by Hatem and Walid Alimi, brothers from Tunisia. They attend multiple holiday markets each year including ones in Boston, Philadelphia, and New York. Christmas Trees provided by Evergreen Delivery provides the option for Boston residents to pick their own real Christmas Tree. Open everyday from 9 am to 8 pm, the tree market also offers delivery to people’s homes. The tree market at Snowport will close on December 24th. A couple helps their daughter lift her hot chocolate. The Holiday Market offers over 10 different food vendor options for visitors. Including a bar with seasonal drinks for older patrons. People can enjoy their food and drinks at a table under the heated tent provided by Tuscan Kitchen. Nicky Bandera holds the menu of hats sold at the Project Paulie store in Seaport. “It's just crazy to be here,” said Bandera. She started her company in March of 2020 by baking lasagnas for people in need. Each color hat with a tomato on it donates 20% of its sales to a different organization which helps people in need. This is Bandera’s first store and she hopes to return again next season to keep growing her small business. A couple writes on the Winter Wish Wall within the Boston Snowport market. Everyday the wall is covered with wishes ranging from calls for world peace to dreams home cooking for the holidays. A customer tries on sunglasses in the Drift Collective booth at Snowport. Drift is a female owned small business started in Portsmouth NH which focuses on restoring and reselling previously owned clothes. The Seaport Holiday Market is run by the Makers Show which is a social justice rooted organization which emphasizes sustainability and diversity in vendors.
